I went into Plumb Center late afternoon yesterday desperate for 3 rads after PTS let me down ( I ordered them a week previous and when I went in they hadn't even ordered them, I have a wasted day today now with no work). I tried to order some more at P C but they couldn't find my details and had closed my account.........they said when were you last in and I said about 4 years ago! ha ha ha

I remember I stopped going in after a bitter experience over their poor stock levels and high prices.

Really annoyed at PTS though.....it wasn't as if I didn't ring a week earlier to give them plenty of time, guy I ordered them with was on holiday.

Always a good idea to have a few non-urgent little jobs to do, or some boiler services you can fit in which you can knock off when you get held up on a larger one so you arent wasting time.

Many of the merchants will close trade accounts that are inactive for 12 months to save on unneccessary admin and paperwork.

only coz they see their bonus increasing as you walk in
No other merchants even try to get our business. There's only Graham and Plumb Center locally, they're both like the Marie Celeste when you walk in and the staff there don't seem arsed.

PC bill is normally £100 a month yet they don't seem interested.

I get WB boilers from plumb centre & UHWC and vented hwc
rads from Mr central heating !

WB from plumb centre is better than from williams ?
pretty sure he ships them for free

sure he will, i got quoted silly prices from them, stopped shopping around and just use williams now.

Emailed Ray for prices on a couple of bits, see how he goes :)

Yeah job I am doing tomorrow is boiler and 6 rads ! My suppliers are about £100 cheaper for boiler and rads ! As much as I would like to use his services you all can understand that £100 on a single job is a lot ! Not questioning Williams services at all ! Ray is excellent gentleman but I have to keep an eye on all posible savings so I win more jobs !

I got linked from local WB rep and got to know local area manager for plumb centre and he did give excellent prices , now he moved up and I got introduced to the Northampton plumb centre menagerie who I deal with ! I don't deal with tho silly boys behind counter that wants to sell me a roll of solder for £20 they are all idiots ! Had a few not pleasant conversation with them , however Tver is only one gentlemen who is a nice person they but problem with him is he has not got a clue about plumbing and heating

No worries Stan and thanks for the chance to quote.

To be honest, although WB is our biggest selling boiler, we do struggle to get the kind of price position on WB that we do with Baxi , ideal and Vaillant. Such is life. If they look after you well, and you get good prices, that's the important thing.

Hope all goes well with the job.

Howdens (absolute bunch of tw.ts) to deal with over the last 11 years closed my account recently, without me knowing.

I sent a customer in to look at a new kitchen we will be fitting, they told the customer I didn't have an account !!!

They made me sign up for a new account, I bought 27 door hinges for my new doors, (bought elsewhere) and they gave me a goody bag of
12 Hamilton Perfection paint brushes, 2 dustsheets, 4 tubes of decorators caulk and a tub of Wonderwipes.

Best thing is the customer has now decided to go to Benchmark Kitchens to supply.
