Good or bad idea - would you like it and be Interested in?

Hi all lads
hope you are well.
I just sent Riley the same message and was wondering how you guys think about the idea.
I was thinking if we could re open a thread for plumb proud works? I guess we once had a thread were people used to upload their own works. It would be very interesting to see how other engineers plumb and perhaps pick few little tips and tricks. It could open new doors for others and perhaps for yourself. As we know it is all about teaching and learning. Do you think that would be a nice idea? Perhaps the engineers who can see the works should be having a 1000 uploads or as riley said for people in plumbersarms it is just an idea,
please let me know your thoughts.

I’d be very interested in sharring and learning from others.

Are the 22mm capped pipes for power flushing?
It doesn’t look like 300mm to the door so yes a plume kit is probably needed.

Yes it is a 825. The capped 22mm ends are for future if somebody doesn't have the adapter so he has got an option to flush from without the need to cut into the pipework. It's not really 300mm so I will return and get the plume connected. I had one with me but the bend was missing for the terminal.

One more thing, seems as your going back, for the sake of your reputation please change that hideous black clip for a white one

Totally agree with you I run out and it was late so I had to use what I had but much appreciated for the honesty

I actually use the connections too when I do an install as I do not think it's really good to remove a rad to flush. I also haven't got yet the a spirotech adapter so it's fine don't think it's much over the top but beneficial

Common ground sound good
There are still things I would do better but sometimes the price won't allow for all items. I'd install some lever valves below the filter, deaerator and of course below the scale reducer just for the sake of service purposes.

After talking to you all I added the plume kit and got rid of the black plastic clips

Thank you very much. I love crimping as it is faster, cleaner and eliminates safety hazards. I can also do my works when water is dripping and if I have an issue with turning water off I can also cut live and put a crimping valve on. But as you know everyone likes different things.

For potential hazardous/ sensitive areas... then yes, crimping comes in, but for everyday stuff

It's just the way you are trained over the years. I used to solder a little when I started working in UK but i went back to crimping which is what I like even though it's more expensive. I definitely do like rushing my works though as I am not happy in the end with the results. I think it would be fun to have a little race though

I totally agree with you. Plastic is the last resort but sometimes worth doing especially in tight spaces.

Thank you KOP... that’s actually true though. It’s not a perfect install then. Next time, I will be more in detail and try not leaving anything to point out. I love when other engineers give honest reviews. I am not afraid of perfection I will never reach it but I can reach always a higher level.

Thank you mate but I'm sure many of us have them as hand tools. I will never change the knipex these are every penny worth as well as the bahco top tools shouldn't be missing in any hand tool bag.

Appreciate your concern but don't see any problem with the gas pipe whatsoever. 22mm to 15mm very standard. Vailla r has 15mm connection which means I always reduce below the boiler. Flow needs another clip? For 1m of flue? I think that's a little over the top though. Everything is safe and secure installed. What you mean with the mac? How is that not safe ? Nothing is going to happen and if the prv opens it's going safely into the waste pipe. No lagging due to price cant do all for peanuts. Not many people are committed to pay for all materials.

Is there any positive word from you rather than just pointing out? Perhaps you show some of your installs. I don't mind and appreciate your opinion as mentioned above. But give also some positive feedback that would be much appreciated too.

I don't think I did anything wrong. I'm happy with my boiler swap
