interesting question someone asked me they have a close coupled wc and the screw holes for the pan are at the back it has a bit of movement in it and he asked how he could stop it , any ideas other than silcone
 
Take it out, investigate fixings. Fatter rawl plug maybe, longer screws, Try to fix to slightly different area rather than re-use originals holes. Bed of silicone while replacing.
