Microsoft Works was a productivity software suite developed by Microsoft and sold from 1987 to 2009. Its core functionality included a word processor, a spreadsheet and a database management system. Later versions had a calendar application and a dictionary while older releases included a terminal emulator. Works was available as a standalone program, and as part of a namesake home productivity suite. Because of its low cost ($40 retail, or as low as $2 OEM), companies frequently pre-installed Works on their low-cost machines. Works was smaller, less expensive, and had fewer features than Microsoft Office and other major office suites available at the time.
Hello,
In my house I have UFH on the ground floor. It works in a very strange way. I am sure that it never heats up well because I have never had warm floor(I set 21 degree, that's low but I should feel it at least), but I also see some issues. All 6 circuits are for the same room and I do...
Completely baffled by this problem and hoping someone out there can shed some light. Moved into a new home 8 weeks ago, had boiler checked and everything seemed fine. As of yesterday we suddenly found we had no hot water. We have now discovered that we can still get instant hot water but only if...
Lady across the road from me has a problem with her saniflo, I know a lot people would tell me to steer clear of these things but I'm happy to do anything for the right price. She said it doesn't always clear the waste away but if she gives it a kick it will work.
I have a mate going with me...
We're talking 33 boilers in a new build.
Of which 12 have been installed by a non gsr plumber before I got there, but we fixed the f-ups, and then 21 by 6 gsr including me. There has been some flue upsizing on 4 boilers, later discovered by me to be unnecesary, and some arguing along the way...
In the middle of a total refurb and having some weird bathroom plumbing issues.
Context: it's a new combi boiler, new mixer shower and bath tap. No other taps currently plumbed in.
The shower only kicks the boiler on in the evening, not in the morning.
In the morning I can get hot water for a...
Hi all,
I have an ideal C24 boiler which is connected to a nest thermostat. The hot water works however the central heating does not work. I discovered when I removed the inbuilt timer connection to electronic board and turned heating on using nest the central heating works. Is this a faulty...
Our Boiler is a Baxi neta-tec combi boiler, installed 2011 and serviced by the same gas safe firm every year.It has not had the central heating run until recently. When this is called for the boiler goes through the motions of trying to light ,gets what i would call a soft flame and then goes...
Hi all. I have been asked to disconnect a Saniflo loft and instead run soil pipe and drainage to manhole.
Now someone has ran a rain water pipe that goes straight into the foul water manhole.
I want to turn this into a soil pipe.
See the outlet of the rain water into the manhole in picture...
Hi - first post here
Trying to resolve an issue with our system at the moment. We have a Potterton Suprima boiler with a Sunvic 207 XLS programmer. I’m only able to get CH to work when HW is active. There is no HW off wiring into the programmer which I imagine could be the issue after doing...
Problem: No hot water from unvented cylinder, although central heating works fine.
Hi All - apologies for the lengthy post but I'm keen to get across as much detail as possible.
I'm a novice, any advise would be really appreciated.
Setup:
Pressurised/unvented cylinder (Tempest)
System Boiler...
If so, how often do you find your replacement is compatible with the original?
Are there different brands that vary enough that having one of a each/a few raises chances of success a lot? If so which ones?
Cheers
The standard ones bundled in a pack with the flush valve from the sheds/screwstation/toolfix don't perform well on gravity fed in my experience.
I've heard one of the 'pro' version has a restrictor you can remove to make it work better?
If so :-
1) Which valve is this?
2) Does it perform well...
Hi guys. This job is near reading. It is to do a couple of bathrooms, move boiler, move tanks in loft higher and put cylinder in loft. Possibly put in an unvented cylinder as mains pressure and flow off the chart.
A bit too far for me but it is for my wife's friend.
Hi there,
We have a mixer shower in our bathroom. In order to make the shower work we have to turn it onto full (at which no water comes out) and then turn the hot tap in our bathroom sink immediately on and off, at which point water then comes from the shower.
Does anyone have any ideas what...
Hi all,
New to the forum as I am struggling to diagnose what is wrong with my boiler.
I have a performa he 30 boiler. Not sure on age as it was in the house before we moved in. I believe it is 5-7 years old.
We are unable to call for hot water without it cutting out if the boiler is cold...
Sorry but don't know who to address this to. Each time I try to log in my password is "incorrect" so I make a new one and get into the site and post etc. but when I try next time again the new password is incorrect! Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong?
cheers
Brendan
Still trying to plan how best to tackle my old ch system. I posted a thread recently on here to identify the motorised valve - turned out to be Satchwell Minival (momo?)
Please Identify Ancient Motorised Valve
The Thorn Olympic boiler works fine and so does the pump and new Drayton...
hi all
I’m having a new en suite fitted and a couple of weeks ago had the Homac 400 macerator fitted for the toilet waste (the plumber took the waste vertically up into loft and across bedroom to stack pipe).
The macerator worked for about a week but one day upon flushing it cut out and tripped...
Hi All,
Happy Sunday!
In my house there is a kitchen extension with Ufh connected to glow worm 38cxi. It has a blender valve and a circulation pump. both this and the radiator circuit are controlled by a wall stat. I don't think this works at all well. I'm planning to separate the rad...
