Hi, does the mpde supply need lagging as it comes back up to the surface from 750mm down and if so what should I use?
Also part of the run can be along a wall to cut down on digging, will armaflex be ok to insulate it?
Thanks in advance!
Mike
Hi,
If you have one of the above, less than 150mm from a gas pipe is that just an advisory warning notice and tell the customer that they should get it moved by a qualified electrician?
Also if there is no bonding within 600mm of the meter outlet the same job, would you just add this to the...
Our house is fed by a spring. The water is soft and so on the acidic side. We had a new upstairs WC and sink fitted. However, over time the WC has gained some green stains down the inside back, where the water flushes down. I am guessing these are caused by the soft water and maybe some...
Any one come across it were a builder has built a house and were the position they want the boiler the flue points out to a boundary. No surface there. But less than 600mm away from the boundary line between 2 properties. I am correct in saying this is not acceptable? Its mainly for nuisance...
I have an install job to do in a curved bay where the pipework will all be surface mounted and on show. I am at a loss to know how to bend a full length in a curve to match the bay! Anyone done anything similar?
It has to be spot on and look good. I have 3 radiators to fit around this huge bay.
Hi, Can anyone confirm to me whether the surface temperature of a domestic radiator is determined only by the flow temperature of the water going through it ( i.e. c. 75 deg). I am currently having a battle with a heating engineer who is arguing that it is down to a lack of in-ceiling insulation...
Hi
I need to replace a thermostatic mixer shower, but the surface water pipes are only 3.5 cm apart - I believe they are mainly 150 mm apart nowadays?
I would like to do this with minimal disruption - does anyone know if anyone manufactures a shower with such a clearance? If not, what would...

Hi All,
Hoping someone can help....The hot surface igniter keeps burning out.
I've just tested a new one, I'm getting approx 170VAC which drops to 120VAC once the burner has lite but it seems the PCB is not switching the igniter off. I've left the boiler running for 3-4 minutes and there's...

Does anyone know of a bar mixer shower that has hot on the right and cold on the left?
Crossed hot hot and colds in a new bathroom that's already been tiled over?

Is there a bracket to surface mount the pipe work on a bar type shower mixer, I have only ever done these with the pipe work in the wall. I am supposed to be installing a pumped system tomorrow and the customer decided to get her own mixer. Just sent me a picture of it and dohhhh moment. Can't...
Hi all,
Have discovered a leak between the water meter and the stop-cock under the house somewhere. A lot of it is buried under the floor/in concrete so have no way of getting at it to find and fix. I'd like to run a new 25mm from the meter (under the drive) and pop it up at the corner of the...

Has anyone ever used this product or anything similar. Spoke to scale master rep and he said if u use this you can just have ur condensate pipe sticking out the wall. As long as the unit is changed every year.
OK I give up, I've spent ages looking for this but can't find one. A chrome shower head with a nozzle or head that can be angled in different directions but which also has a bottom inlet for surface mounted pipework. Any suggestions please post details.
Thanks
