Can you guy's tell me about dodgy soldered fittings you have soldered and later came back to haunt you?
As in, when you solder it, do you know it could turn out to be dodgy?
How do you know?
Is it something it does?

Anyone finding it quiet at the moment, I have never been so quiet, I mainly specilise in full bathroom refits, I don't advertise in the local rag mainly word of mouth but not getting called for many quotes at the moment.
Today has been a nightmare getting trvs/rad valves that have been on for 35 years :(. Fill the system and two leaks from the the top of the nut at the bottom of the valve. Could this be from the nut being expanded from when they used hemp all over the place.
Would it be easier to cut and put...
After a while (6mths or so) the pop up wastes I have fitted seem to leak slightly and drip water into the cabinets.
What can I do to prevent this happening again. I have tried thread tape on the threads of the locating nut and even on the plastic insert that the ball (of the pop up lever)...

Something I've found pretty useful when fitting a new bath.
We all know how difficult it can be to get the tools in behind the bath to connect the taps..
Now, it is easier with the flexible hoses i'll grant you that, but to make it even easier, make sure the tap nearest to the 'closed' or back...
