I have a vintage tank with a tapered brass fitting fixed in.
A new mating fitting is required.
The thread is 7/8" max with 26 tpi and it is tapered.
7/8" 26 is a standard British Standard Brass (BSB) thread, but tapered?
I can find no reference to BSB tapered.
Help?

Hi,
Trying to locate a straight version of this angled adapter/reducer for a shower.
The (cheap) shower came with these angled ones (see attached image). The idea being that you can adjust to straighten up the bar mixer if your pipework isn't coming out the wall straight.
Stupid really...
Hello, anyone know what these pipes are? I'm guessing the black pipe could be iron or lead gutter pipe as it goes in to what seems to be a gutter down pipe (the down pipe is next to the soil pipe and is slightly smaller so presume it's the gutter pipe). However it seems to be around 50mm wide...
Good morning folks,
Can anyone identify what this part is? The fella that showed me it said he took it off a combi boiler in a UK fire station that was being scrapped, around 1990's, the folded ended has a small hole, about 7mm, ...stat pocket?...the other end was just plain pipe from what he...

I recently changed a countertop in my kitchen and while doing so took the opportunity to check the incoming water pipe that's hidden behind the cabinets, while doing so I noticed something that seemed odd, the incoming water pipe seems to split 3 times after the stopcock, the first split leads...

Hello
I am trying to identify a jacuzzi / whirlpool / spa bath so that I can replace the drain plug seal which I suspect is leaking. Unfortunately I cannot get to the actual bath to investigate myself a common problem at the moment I think. The owner has supplied pictures of the bath, plug seal...
Hi. For the first time since moving in 7 years ago, my pre-existing bath hot tap is only running luke warm to cold. The attached shower is the usual decent hot temp as is the basin and kitchen tap. (I've got a combi boiler.) From reading the forums I thought maybe the thermostat cartridge might...

Hello,
First post, and looking for some advice.
I had bought some Hive Radiator Valves (maybe a mistake...), but in principle the idea is excellent - control temperature of individual rooms for specific times without having to keep adjusting the valves - great when working from home.
Hive...
Hello!
I'm looking to buy a second hand apartment. I've been talking to some real estate agents asking what I should be careful with in an old house, but nobody talked about the pipes. And when I raise the issue, it seems none of the agents I talked to had any clear idea of what to look for...
