A new TRV was recently fitted , but the plastic has broken near the metal fitting.
The Radiator is now on full !
TRV has been on a low setting since it was fitted, and has not been ajusted at all.
My Questions are why has this happened ?
Do these TRV come with a Gaurantee ?
Have got a broken pump (frozen and blew the front off!). Have got a new pump and tried releasing the large nuts connecting the old pump onto the pipework, but they won't shift. Applying lots of pressure on the spanner (stilsons actually) is actually spinning the connection and pump round on the...

Hi, hoping someone may be able to help.
Over the last few weeks with the cold weather, our combi has been intermittently stopping working, and following the advice of our installer (it was installed May 09) we have been pouring warm water on to unfreeze the condensate pipe, switching the boiler...
Just been up to the log cabin up the garden to find the toilet floor wet. Obviously all pipes drained down over the winter period, so I was wondering where all the water had come from. Opened the toilet to find it had a block of ice in it and had cracked. Thinking back to all the outside toilets...

I'm trying to disconnect a broken bowden cable from the under the washbasin.
I've taken the screw and pin out. But it seems stuck. Is it threaded onto the
rod?
What's the knack?
It's a old and there is some limescale. So, it could be fouled up. I've WD40d it several times.
Hi

Hi
Having a bit of a nightmare getting a radiator hot. It is on a closed circuit , its the last one on the circuit and the routing to this radiator doesn't particulary help !
I am convinced that there is air stuck in the pipe.
Anybody got any good tips on how to release it ?? :confused...

Hi
I have been draining down a large old (one pipe) central heating system and all of the radiator bleed screws have been difficult to release. However I have done them all except one which has snapped off in the radiator.
Anyone know of any great ideas or specialist tools to remove it...

Hi All,
I have an Ideal Standard Bath & Shower Mixer (E0305AA) which has a pressure driven "plunger". Once lifted the water comes out of the shower, rather than the bath tap.
Once the shower is working, to make the water flow through the bath tap, you simply stop the water, and the pressure...
