Just a curious question about kitchen drain.
I used flexible hose bent to T-Trap shape under sink. It drains into 2" horizontal PVC into wall where 2" PVC is bent 90 degree to floor below.
Sometimes water doesn;t drain or drains very very slow, then within 10-20 seconds all drains. Next time...
Dare I ask what’s this new feature? Now you can’t post on the same topic until waiting nearly a minute and a half. Is this new software just trying to get you to limit the amount you add ? Another annoying function.
Morning all,
I've recently cleaned my F&E, microbore central heating system using Sentinel X400 and this led to the cold rads heating up again, so a success in that respect*. Now, after a week of the X400 circulating, today I cleaned the F&E tank again (much cleaner water), drained down the...
Hi there -
I am convinced that my 25 yr old Megaflo is providing less hot water pressure than it used to. I have reset the bubble several times but it doesn't seem to help. But the shower pressure is not bad and I can live with it.
But then yesterday I got up earlier than usual (before the HW...
Hi there,
Looking for advice for friend who had leak from seal between valve body and cartridge. She had the cartridge replaced which included new seals, this fixed the leak for a few months, however it's started leaking again. Pics below.
Is it just the body is worn or does anyone know a fix...
Just having a skim through Screwfix sale items and spotted this:

Strangely same time of year.
Suggestions last year from the installer was to remove the Evohome TRV from one radiator to act as a bypass. I...
Afternoon!
I seem to have an issue with my central heating staying on.
As its winter, we have it set on a timer. The first couple of cold days it worked fine with no problems. (on in the morning for a few hours / then again in the evening from 6pm until around 10pm).
The last couple of...

Hi all, just finished my ACS re-assessments, to keep my qualifications up to date. Thats me good for another 5 years. There were dozens upon dozens of guys there doing met1 to fit smart meters, with no related background whatsoever. One guy I talked to was a truck driver and never been on a...

Dudley japtic syphon. The first flush works fine, the cistern fills up fully straight afterwards, but when you try to flush again it doesn't flush. You can try a few more times and it still won't flush. Leave it 3-4 minutes and it flushes fine again.
Should I just replace the syphon or washer...
The mains pressure into the house was fine until I turned off the outside tap / valve on the roadside to do some work inside.
It's a newish looking valve which has a plastic handle. It only takes a quarter turn between on and off with no effort.
Is it usual for this type of valve to give...

Hi all,
I replaced the Caleffi PRV (6 bar, 95oC max) on my inlet feet to HWT about 3 months ago, it was a constant drip drip coming from it. The feed to the PRV is from mains water through a Caleffi 3bar filter and feeds the tank CW inlet, nothing too complicated.
However just 3 months later and...
