CheersUsing expanders to create a socket
That's swage, but swag is what burglars carry in a sackUsing expanders to create a socket

OkYes, that’s fine.
Someone's been watching too much pbplumber on Instagram! I personally don't like swaging. Think it thins the already thin walled copper.
It’s old school
Yep me too , jesus wept, fittings cost sod all .
You must have heard it called flaring copper before surely? That's what I always knew it by until seeing 'swaging' on social media
Common practise now't wrong with it as long as your GSR that is. 1 solder ring instead of 2 saves time and money. But then again I am a thoroughbred Yorkshire man. Short arms - Deep pockets
Don't believe it saves time at all.
Decent fitter pb, almost as good as me. He loves to promote the latest gear tho. Swear he's sponsored by the sheer amount of kit he has

What are your copper tube wall thicknesses?
We measure our pipe OD.
1/2" - 0.91 mm
3/4" - 1.02 mm
1" - 1.22 mm
We always expand copper ( swage ) and have never had too many issues
I dont think your allowed to use a mandrel to swage the pipe as it alters its thickness.
