Hi All,
Anyone know the best way to get air out of an ideal Logic 24 boiler please, I have bled all of the radiators successfully starting at the bottom of the property, and also utilised the two bleed valves at the highest point above the boiler (photo attached) but there is still air bubbling...
I have a clients oil Grant boiler I fitted last year. It is a Vortex pro 26-46 system.
It is just a small system loop as it is a pool boiler. Heated through a heat exchanger directly behind the boiler.
I went to service today and took about a handful of rust off the baffles. There was even signs...
Hello Everyone ;0
Iv just discovered this forum, looking through internet to find a solution to my small problem.
So I just reopened, builders opening in my 1930 ex-council house. And surprisingly, did find some pipes inside.
Two look like water - those have been cut, and those are like side...
Hi, I have a stopcock in my closet at my flat, but despite me turning it clockwise all the way, this doesn't seem to be stopping the flow of water.
Is there anyway I can check if that truly is the stopcock and if not, is there a way I can find the actual one?
I just want to stop the water flow...
So I think I've made a really stupid mistake. I stuffed a bit of rag into the pipe end to stop drips while I was preparing to solder. Then I put the new fitting on and soldered it. I didn't realise and tested the heating which worked but then got a low flow on the boiler. It was then I realised...
Hi all, really need a suggestion.. We recently bought this house and started seeing drain backflow issues when using washing machine into the kitchen, with continuous usage of Mr Muscle it was good for a couple of weeks later we had major backflow issue and kitchen flooding when we use...
Hi - I'm looking to install an observation chamber which will have 160mm pipe running in and out of it. I want to catch any debris in the observation chamber before it exits ... probably a small grate with 10mm squares catch everything I need. Would would be the best way to do this? should I try...
Hello all,
We have a small bathroom, which currently has the toilet on the outside wall, and the sink on the inside wall. What are the chances/challenges of switching this round, i.e., fitting the toilet to the inside wall?
Here's what I mean:
So toilet would be hung from the stud wall, with...
Hi. There is a boxed off section behind my sink toilet and an even larger one behind my shower. What is likely to be behind this? I could use the additional space, so could it be removed?
Would it be complicated to move everything back towards the wall?
Thanks for your answer
I need to pick someone's brain. Let me start with the events that led up to having no water. I have an old farm house with outside well running to the pressure tank in the basement. There is an outside water spigot about 7 or 8ft away from the well cap. The handle on the spigot froze and was...
I'm totally clueless about plumbing but watched a bunch of YouTube videos and thought changing a washer to stop a leaky shower would be simple enough. I was stumped at the first hurdle and couldn't seem to get the flange off. There's a spring and two plastic parts on the spindle, preventing it...
Hi all,
I was wondering whether someone could identify the attached device inside a Valliant ecoFIT pure 435.
It is showing 32ohms of resistance across the live wires, so it isn't just a junction box.
Hi, my gas hob needs replacing but I'm told first the existing cooker hood must be raised as it's 70cm instead of 75cm above gas hob as per new regulations. Is that right?
I need to run central heating pipe horizontally under the floorboards of an upper floor. I need to go through only one 75mm wide beam, but I'm wary of boring or notching it, also because that would be quite close to the wall bearing the beam.
So I thought of running an 8mm or 10mm pipe...
Hi,
Need some advice on the soil pipe inside or outside, I have searched on google and read couple of forums but don't find the right or wrong answer of soil pipe being inside or outside the property.
We are adding two rooms on the side of the house and one loft into dormer conversion. Please...
Hello,
We’ve had a new boiler, hot water tank, pump, T-valve and thermostats fitted and are using the original radiators without zone valves (small house). The guy that fitted it says he’s too busy to come back and take a look at the problems.
If we run just the heating, after it reaches the...
Hi all,
I've got a British Gas 330+ Heat only boiler and it displayed an F25 error (lack of water iirc) on Sunday. I read the manual and bled the radiators (1 rad had quite a bit of air) and topped the system up a little and sure enough I could then hear water flowing back into the boiler. I...
Hi
