Hi,

I am in the market for a new cordless SDS drill, I currently have the Milwaukee cordless M18 Fuel combi drill and impact driver which are fantastic but the combi drill is sometimes not up to it on very hard walls.

Not sure if I should go for the Milwaukee or another brand? if so what model is best.

I am also not sure if I should go for a bare drill or a complete set? my concern about the bare drill is the lack of a case.

Milwaukee M18 CHX-402C 'FUEL' SDS+ Hammer Drill Do you think it is worth the extra money compared to the above version?

they are two different tools tbh. if your mainly fixing then the smaller one is fine, if you are going to be drilling alot of larger sized holes then the bigger one may be more suitable. Goto wonder what the bat life will be like on the larger one, a bosch 36v 4ah batt does not last long on larger holes never mind a 18v 4ah even with the added 30% gain of brushless.

bowt time these manufacturers stopped trying to keep us buying low capacity batts and just bring out 6ah as the standard. bosch has only just this last 1/2 year released 5ah and there 6ah is due now. Milwaukee are dragging the 5ah release, they should skip it and go for 6ah or higher imo.

Always been in the yellow and black corner, but have tried milwakee cordless drill seemed pretty good for the short period I used it for.

I have the dewalt 18v cordless with 4ah batteries. Mostly because I have the combi drill and impact driver set as well. Very impressed with it and the chisel mode is very good! ! Takes light tender off very easily.
