Never tried wiping a joint to be honestCan you not wipe a joint with Grade D Solder?
Providing they're DZR and connecting piece is suitable for underground. Obviously not much of a problem for above ground and internal. You can use lead locks then.

Apparentl, when I sat my NVQ level 3, we were told then that they were no longer teaching lead-work in college, I asked what it was being replaced with, the answer was ârenewable technologyâ.Last time I spoke to a college tutor for Plumbing he told me they don't teach any lead work anymore!!
How can the new guys be Plumbers?
Times change!
How does renewable tech replace a lead pipe or lead flashings? Or did they mean new materials?Apparentl, when I sat my NVQ level 3, we were told then that they were no longer teaching lead-work in college, I asked what it was being replaced with, the answer was ârenewable technologyâ.

It doesnât. I took it to mean, that instead of teaching lead as a subject as part of the curriculum, it would be replaced with renewable tech. How does renewable tech replace a lead pipe or lead flashings? Or did they mean new materials?
