We had a leak from our boiler which meant I had to take up the flooring. This was a bathroom, but we want a utility room, so will be putting in the washing machine. I don't know if these pipes are accetable though? We need the water feed (on the left) and the pipe for the waste (you can see on the right curving behind the boiler pipes). The waste pipe is 22mm OD.
This is part of an extension at the front of the house built by a prevous owner, the pipes dissappear under what used to be the external wall.

I never really thought about this but can I pick your brain.

If I hadn’t read your post, I would have advised against connecting a washing machine discharge to an overflow pipe.

Wouldn’t the increase in friction of the overflow pipe compared to 1.5 inch waste, cause issues with the washing machine pump?

It’s one of them bigger always better but if it’s only a short run it should be fine and it looks like one was connected there before left hand side washing machine point

Well, i'm not sure if it is a short run. I'm not sure where they go once under the wall. The kitchen and bathroom are at the back of the house, as are the drains I believe. Thats 10m back and 5m across.

Where does the boiler condense go into ?

I don't like the look of the the way the ends of the joists are being supported. The piece running left to right looks undersized to me and I can't see where the load is being transmitted to. If you put a washing machine there the joists are going to get a regular thumping during the spin cycles.
