Hi Everyone. Simple question really-Are wall hung toilet frames universal? client has one existing. So can we just replace the pan, potentially with a different manufacturer, but not necessarily. Thanks in advance.
Are these good or best avoided?
I need to give a builder a lead slate to put into the roof for a boiler install at a later date.
The mcalpine Mac flash universal slate is very cheap at the merchants.
Are they good or best to stick to the manufacturers own slate kit?
I have an open vent CH system with two cold water tanks in the attic.
The hot water cylinder from the first-floor feeds the hot water to the bathroom (currently no shower is fitted in the bathroom) and a shower in en-suite all on the first floor.
The hot feed from the hot water cylinder to the...
First post I'm afraid - can I ask all of you for some help? We have just had a new loo installed with the above geberit flush and inlet valve. The flush initially works fine but after a while water still seeps into the cistern and eventually starts to run through the overflow. There's no leak...
Hi all. First time poster, long time reader. I just wanted to check people's thoughts on this item: convent plus retrofit plume management kit
Retro-fit plume management kit (60mm) - Mr Central Heating
I was offered one in my local merchants today, instead of the manufacturers own part. It was...
I have installed the above with booster pump. All pipework checked - hot and cold feeds fitted to unit (green) but only get cold water to shower head. Hot water pipe to unit feels hot to ouch but that's where is stops. Am I doing something wrong or could there be a fault with the unit?
Hoping someone out there can help me out. My current boiler which is in my cellar is currently just below ground level and i am reliably informed that to receive my up to date boiler/Gas certificate (because we are moving) i need to get a extension flue kit to bring it above ground level...
This is a new one to me. House has some MDPE piping dating from mid-eighties which is 1". I've cut into this to install a T but current 25mm fittings won't fit the pipe. I guess old pipe is .4mm too big. Any suggestions as how to convert? Thanks
Some basic questions no doubt...
I am having some building work done and the builder managed to get mortar mix on some of my radiators. They could do with a clean anyway.
1) Is it OK to given them a quick hose down with a pressure washer? This would get the cement off and also any other dust...
From the Eastbrook catalogue, code 7.0000
As far as I can tell, its an electronic flushing device, and you just hold your hand over the sensor until the pan has cleared. Common enough in commercial applications, but not that common in mid market domestic bathrooms.
Has anyone ever fitted one...
Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I would just like to pass on some information on a universal cleaner I use. It can be used on most surfaces except wood. Fabrics, worktops & even decreases engines etc. Not found in your main stream stores, but advertised as the only cleaner you...

Hi chaps, am wondering if anyone knows just by looking what make taps these are? And where i can get the internals from? It drips for about 10mins after stopping before turning off.
Also, do you think it best to change both hot and cold if the problem is only happening to the one side? And, are...
Hi
I have 2 wobbly old heated chrome towel rails and want some brackets to make them more secure. They are floor mounted and I need some clamp type brackets to go onto the wall at the top.
Any ideas where I can get these?
Someone told me they are called hospital clamps ... but that hasn't...
Including the ones that come with 1.5 and 2 bowl sinks. They tend to look like the rim and washer that connects to the underside of the sink are larger than on a standard 1 1/2 sink waste to me. But it could be cos they're usually white and standard wastes are black (slimming, I'm told)
