Hello,
I'm seeking advice on resolving the persistent blockage issues with my downstairs toilet. A year ago, I replaced an 80s close-coupled toilet with a more affordable model. This new toilet is a back-to-wall type featuring a concealed cistern within a separate unit. Since its installation...
Where to source this type of toilet seat from ?
Does anyone know where to source one of these nowadays, been advised it's about 35 years old now and was a french type one. Are the obsolete now, and only top or bottom connection fixings exist or are they source from a website possibly.? Any...
Sorry for asking a silly question but does anyone know how this seat comes off ? Have had advice from local plumber but even he couldn't see how to do it.
The only thing that seems possibly relevant is that each bearing point has two very small rectangular gaps, one at 8 o clock and one at 4 o...
Suddenly my downstairs toilet stopped filling this week, I suspected a blockage in the filter or cistern itself, however after removal of everything it appears that there is no water coming in, its mains fed and no sign of leak anywhere , we have checked the isolation valve and its not faulty...
Hello I have a mystery, my bathroom has a sewage smell appears to get far worse 5pm-9pm. I have plugged my bathroom/sink with plugs and its 100% coming from the toilet.
Tried Lugi worlds best plunger, that air gun blaster and 50 buckets of hot water down the toilet for 2-3 days and no joy, the...
Hello,
I’ve recently fitted two toilets in the same property and found that I needed to level them. Initially I thought it was the floor but it’s actually the toilet bowls themselves. I’m assuming that as they are made of ceramics they could be slightly out in terms of accuracy? Is this semi common?
Hi
Anyone seen this sort of setup before?
Not sure if it will be like a clay connector but cemented up ?
Never come across it before
Any advice be appreciated before I chip away at it.
Hello, I'm reworking our ensuite which is next door to the main bathroom.
I want to connect the new toilet into the existing soil pipe which runs directly under it.
See the picture below for the layout.
Can I simply put a strap boss on to the existing soil pipe or is there anything I should...
Hello!
I was checking something in the toilet cistern. I flushed, but holding the float ball, so the cistern wouldn't be filled. With a very low level of water in the cistern, I flushed a couple of times. Then I let go of the float ball and the cistern was filled.
I didn't do or change...
Hello All,
Was looking for some innovative ideas from you all.😊
I’m renovating a bathroom in a flat.
The soil, hot & cold water pipe runs stops me from butting the new toilet cisten flush to the wall. I was hoping to use a flexible waste to help me get closer but the pipes stop this option. The...

Afternoon all,
It appears my toilet inlet pipe has developed a leak at on of the top 2 joints (between plastic pipe into toilet and between copper pipe with isolator screw) I'll attach pic.
Just wondering what the fitting is that I need.
Thanks,
G
My toilet was slow flushing. I did some research and discovered it needed a new diaphragm washer. I managed to replace that. It now works. But now it trickles water into the bowl between flushes and then there is an odd noise randomly. I turned the water off at the mains and now the water...
im a DIYer remodeling my master bath. long story short, after tiling my toilet flange is too high. im aware of all of the options to repair, but we could use a new toilet anyway..so my question is, is there a toilet made that will fit a high flange? or do I need to just suck it up and repair it?
Hi all, apologies in advance for my ignorance. I have an old style toilet with what I've researched is a ballcock. The toilet was screaming every time we flushed so I googled and found it was the diaphragm valve that needed replaced.
I bought a pack of diaphragm seals and attempted to change...
Hi all, seeking advice on my toilet. (Layman here, please be gentle with me.)
When we flush the loo upstairs, it flushes fine (therefore assuming no suggestion of any actual blockage) but after the flush we get a rumbly gurgling from deep within the pipework somewhere and the water level in the...
I took the toilet off. No clog. Put it back on and it's still has the issue of water rising before draining very slowly.
Took 2-3 flushes just to get rid of toilet paper.
As part of a slow DIY bathroom refit I've removed the old toilet from the original location next to the soil pipe (and obviously capped off the branch) and plan to place it the opposite end of the room. I was pretty lucky to find a 110mm sewer waste pipe below the old sink which is the new...
My sister bought a new build property which has wall hung toilets, NK by Noke Porcelona
The pans are all moving enough for the silicone sealant to fail across the top of the pan and if you put a bit of weight on it it opens up by about 5mm. They've been in use (light use 4 toilets in a holiday...
