Alright chaps!

Could anyone tell me what is causing the noise in the video below?

It's coming from my neighbour's side of the wall so I cannot easily investigate. But it seems to be relating to the pipes near here kitchen sink.

It occurs randomly over the course of day & night.

Thanks in advance!

Over zealous kettle??? But seriously, it could be her kitchen tap, it could be the incoming mains with maybe some debris or a loose part in the stop tap. Could also be sound transmitting back down the pipework from where the ball cock fills her CWSC in the loft

Haha I wish it was as simple as a kettle! She actually let me into her flat to investigate and I couldn’t make it happen when I was there and I tried using her taps.

The stop tap is a possibility I suppose. I actually tried moving that as well but it was stuck solid. Thoughts?

I’ve had that before turned out to be an isolator hidden inside boxing and was only opened a fraction so was causing restriction causing a flow noise

A ghost with a whistle lol had a similar problem in a factory only heard at night it was a leak on a 2" pipe below the ground on the mains when no one was using the water at night the mains pressure increased and was making the sound had the security men freaked out lol

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
