Discuss Where can I find a 300mm wide 400mm high or nearest in chrome? in the Central Heating Forum area at PlumbersForums.net

Thats great, I will check with my plumber and go for it yes it is for central heating but they also do the pre-filled electric as well.
You can have it plumbed in, and with an electric element in it as well (with the necessary chrome T-piece) - ie "dual fuel".
Handy where it's on the radiator circuit and you want the towel rail warm in the summer.
Just have to remember not to leave the element on in the winter!

Does anyone put towel rails on the primaries any more? Then they heat in summer when the water only is on (albeit probably only an hour)

My preferred arrangement is a dual fuel on CH primaries with TRV for hydronic control and a Timeguard four-hour countdown timer as a fused spur (in a safe zone). Fairly easy and intuitive to use and avoids accidentally leaving it on leccy for days at a time.
