Evening,
I'm thinking of getting a web site designed. Can anybody recommend a design service?

I am a sceptic as well.Once we start talking a few hundred notes per year any enthusiasm rapidly disappears.I believe it can work well if you are in a narrow market e.g.small town with less competition or some specific service e.g.specialist boiler repairs, emergency plumber.I do know it works for some forum members and I accept one big job can pay for it.Recently there was a young lass, from the Manchester area I think, who was going to spend a lot of money on a web site which would produce lots of work.I would like to hear how she went on.I hope she was successful as it was a big gamble.Does it actually produce any work as I've had two different websites with people who promise the earth but deliver nothing once the money has changed hands ?
At that sort of price it is very cost effective. One small job pays for it.It is this pushing it on to first page that is the key. Most of us don't have a clue how to do it and without that position you are stuffed.I think a lot of people are wary after being phone spammed and web spammed that this is possible.Large sums of cash are involved. When I could be bothered I asked 'Are you ringing the hundreds of plumbers in Bradford? In which case it will be a bloody big first page!!!!I use the webs service
It's not "professional" as such but I get my fair share of work out of it, I have pushed it to page one (organic) on google for the search terms "plumber Derby"
I can play with it, add content as I want without cost, the online chat is superb (I have premium service) and I only pay about £60/year including hosting, get 5 emails and a dedicated email service
Quite good value for money if you ask me
