In the old days, toilets used quite a lot of water when flushing.
Nowday, there are what they call water saving toilets. They are not quite new in desing - I think the principle of how they work camed into the '30'-50's. I know they are based on the fact that the way of the water getts a little bit more nowerer going to the "dumping" side of the toilet, so preussure is made, creating some kind of air or water deprresion.
But comparing to the old system, with the reservoir (cistern) put up, system in which the content was pushed by speed and quantyity of the water, how good is the modern system of toilets. At the old ones you could throw into the toilet one (1) roll of toilet paper and don't have problems? This is why am I curios about the old system versus the new one.
