Hi Guys

Please would you be able to give your thoughts on this...

Last week had boiler serviced (its 4 years old) all ok afterwards until this morning, water was luke warm. Still luke warm after boiler has been on this evening.

Temp reading 48 degree on boiler (target set at 68 degrees)Water pressure okay as reading 1.6 bar

Also unsure if this is a coincidence but shower upstairs on second floor above floor where boiler is (first floor) is trickling water from shower head. Unable to turn it off

Any ideas please?

Thanks a lot

Betty

Hi Betty,

You need a gas registered engineer to look at your boiler, it could be a few things with the ecotec plus. It also depends on your setup. Also was it serviced or a safety check?

Your shower I would say is coincidental, it will probably be a failing washer.

Thanks,
Chris.

Need to sort the running shower as that’s dropping the temp due to new cold water always been drawing in

Did they touch the cylinder stat on the tank or has it been knocked lower. Therefore the boiler when has a call for hot water would never need to get higher than 48deg.
Best call the engineer back if not simple, just explain whats happening to them.
Also perhaps they turned an immersion off if that was on and you didnt know and the boiler was always misbehaving.. best call them.
Let us know if poss when resolved
