Discuss Washing machine waste pipe in the Plumbing Jobs | The Job-board area at PlumbersForums.net
Yes. It was put in byoriginal plumber at first fix and planned as washing machine outlet. Appreciate the warning though! You say an open vertical pipe, can you be certain it’s not a vent pipe for the drains? Or is just a short piece of waste doing nothing, if so is it connected to anything?
These questions need to be thought of
Cheers
Thanks!Yes they go into a fitting tho
Or you can use a strap on boss / mechanical boss
New extension. Pipe put in by original plumber with washing machine in mind. No photos sorry - too dark - but just looks like 75mm of 110 pipe coming out of floor@A photo at this point might be useful, to try and determine exactly what it is. If it’s open, then why? Was there one there before and you’re renewing?
Great! Many thanks!!One of these might be better as it’s above ground, but you will definitely need to trap it to stop smells.
