Hi all,

Im trying my best to get a career change into plumbing, i dont want a fast track course as they are a rip off, I have looked into a college course but they want 3k just for a tech cert with no guarantees of anything. I have have rang local plumbers and there seems to be no apprenticeships in my area. I have decided that the best way for me to get into plumbing is to volunteer evenings and weekends which will build my experience and be to my advantage once apprenticeships start coming up again !

SO

Anyone needing help with some weekend and evening jobs please get in touch !!

Re: volunteer - Leicestershire/Nottingham

Plenty of views but no replies, is there any more information people need from me ? I am happy to provide email and phone number once someone has sent me a PM but dont want to put it up in general view, i am willing to travel to nottingham.

Surely someone on here could benefit from having a volunteer at weekends and evenings ?

So many people have looked but nobody has responded, can somebos at least give me some advice ? I am desperate to become a plumber, and not because of tales of 50k a year but because things like the way central heating works and complex water systems fascinate me.

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
