Hi My Vaillant boiler constantly show F83 and has done since installed 2.5 years ago.
The installer seems unable to sort it.
A vaillant engineer said the water is taking too long to transit because the radio control is too slow. Control now hard wired but problem remains.
Any suggestions?

I wouldn’t have said it was anything to do with controls, I would say it’s more to do with the flow of water (or more a lack of) around your heating. How many radiators do you have? What size are the radiators? What model of Vaillant combi? What size house? How old is the house?

ECO Tec 424, 8 rads 2 towel rails
Boiler fitted 2.5 years ago.
System aprrox 38 years old (old boiler was 35 years old and still working, wish we had left it alone!).
Bungalow built in1963, originally with warm air vents.
Vailant engineer said that F83 was triggerd by the water not getting around the system within the required period of time and said that part of this time was taken up because the radio controls took time to recognise and act on the signal to turn the pump on. However as I say it is now hard wired.

What pump?
What pump setting? Modulating/constant?
How’s the pump wired? What tells the pump to come on?
Does the heating zone valve open before the pump comes on?
When does the boiler fire? Before or after the zone valve is fully on?

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
