We have had the above for some 38 years. Now after flushing it fills right up to the rim almost overflowing and then VERY slowly the water level drops. Been looking into it and perhaps needs new Rubber Plumb Washer (Syphon Bomb) or Airex fitment or someone mentioned that when he inspected just some rubber washers had perished and needed replacing. So obviously an inspection needed.
Looking for qualified plumber who has extensive working knowledge and experience of Syphonic WC's as understand that younger plumbers do not have the experience as they have not been made for many decades. Live near Petersfield Hampshire. Regards, Frank.

Use an old fashioned mop, the string ones, wet it up, and then vigoursly carefully and powerfully plunge it up and down in the pan, the hydraulic pressure generated is massive
...do not use the blue jay cloth ones. This usually works. Double syphon bog pans are ace so ...usually ...reliable ...and really suck the jobbies away ...but as you say rare beasts now. have a go ....centralheatking

Have a read here, simply to do once you know what you have. Remove cistern, fit bomb and replace cistern, it is not a black art.
