Hi I am installing new radiators and changing the TRVs for more modern ones. My question is with respect to the original pipework there is a TRV 'body' in place which the old TRV fitted to. Should I change the TRV 'body' or just screw the new head onto the existing body.

thanks in advance.

Fire up the heating and see if the existing bodies work, with the head off the rad should heat up.

Presuming there are no existing issues with the system.

I would add if you have the whole valve then I would change the whole thing, no point putting a new head on and the body failing a week later.
