Has anyone had to use, or does anyone use, gas seal or similar on the face of a Tracpipe union?

As Shaun says never had to use sealant the pipe needs to be cut square to allow the fitting to form a perfect flange to seal the fitting, given a choice I prefer Gastite pipe and their fittings . Kop
Not before tightness test Shaunieagree gastite much better no tape afterwards etc

Agreed Gastite split collar locks onto the outer jacket as well as the pipe creating a seal on them both .gastite you dont have to tape at all
Pipe is much the same bud its the fittings that differ have a look on you tube . KopWhats the difference in the pipe?
Or is it just better fittings on the gastite

Nice first post. I assume you're something to do with Tracpipe then?Tracpipe you do need to use tape (self amalgamating silicone tape) to seal it.
