Hi
Our toilet bowl is constantly filling after flushing.
I've looked on the internet and youtube and couldn't see anything like the cistern we have (I'm no DIYer by any means)
I've attached a picture, cousl anybody point me in the right direction? I've tried to change the height of the white floaty thing (technical name) that changes the water height, but nothing changes.
Cheers
Mark

I think you are refering to your toilet pan ...thats the thing you sit on...the pan
or are you refering to the white box of water that sits behind and above the pan ?
if it is the cistern not the toilet bowl then its easier. Maybe the floaty thing has failed
. look underneath for a chrome valve with a flat screwdriver slot. Turn it by 90deg
this will turn the water off ....then get back to us. centralheatking

See I said I was no expert!

The toilet pan/bowl is getting a constant trickle of water from the cistern (the box on top on the toliet!)
I adjusted the white floaty thing so it sat lower in the water, thinking there would be less water in the cistern and then it wouldn't overflow...I was wrong because I guess the water goes from there to the bowl at a lower level.

If you gently but firmly pull the white float cap up does that stop the water filling the cistern? I find adjusting those floats takes time to find the sweet spot, a little bit out either way and they don`t seem to shut off the water.

no it doesn’t. Doesn’t even slow down.

Hi guys. I'm trying to identify a toilet model before ordering a seat for a customer. I went to what used to be a Roca stockist (they no longer are) and one of the guys there reckoned it might be "The Gap". I went to the new stockist and the guy there disagreed it was "The Gap" and that he'd...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...
