Hi, looking to upgrade the kitchen and wanting to install a hose tap. I noticed the tap requires high pressure only (1 bar), I'm running cold straight off the mains and hot from the combi, will I have the pressure required? All help appreciated, Thanks.

thx croppie, just a quick question, I can purchase from anywhere but local B&Q have one, are they still considered bad quality ? thanks

Aye, any decent plumbers merchants.

Don't forget to fit a double check valve.

I wouldn't purchase any taps from a DIY shed. They will fail, and when they do you will have a real problem finding spares. And that 80 quid you spent on the tap will have to be spent again on new.

Find a good merchants and buy the taps from them, as they will stock reputable brands and somewhere to go if you need spares.

Thanks lads, will call in to my local plumb centre and see what they have was going there for the other bits and pieces needed to do the job, asked because I'm on doing a cheap kitchen deal with B&Q and could have worked them into the deal perhaps ;) Good point on the double check valve, just done a Google research, my take was that it makes sense due to the hose pull out factor, tap end in a full sink and the back pull on the mains? please correct if I'm wrong, I also now need to upgrade my garden tap while I'm in

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
