A new job I have an interview for tomorrow requires me says the following: -

The Role:
· They are recruiting for a HVAC Plumber to join their team in Central London.
· You will be required to carry our plumbing works including fitting T-points, under sink electrical boilers, installing sanitary ware into toilets, etc. Most of the work should be fairly straight forward plumbing works, 2nd fix type work for mainly commercial buildings
· You will have full Plumbing qualifications (City & Guilds or equivalent) and be familiar with most types of Plumbing Services and have proven track record of working on a variety of new build / refurbishment commercial / residential projects.

I've not heard of T-Points before, I'm pretty sure whatever it is I'll be able to do it anyway but does anyone know what they are? Perhaps I know it by some other terminology or could just be being thick?

That's what I thought but why would they point that out specifically?

Test points for temp testing of incoming hotwater supply to TMV?????

That sounds more realistic, thank you, now I am prepared ;-)

I would just be up front - ASK THEM ! If we do not know here then quote the site and mention that that no one really knows.

Maybe the person that put the ad up together got something wrong.

PERHAPS some feed back please as to what is a 't - point' after your
interview

Might even be a test?

Post something unknown and see how many have the apparent nous to ask what it is rather than guess.

People today especially the young seem so sure they can do anything, until you ask them to do it and they find they can't.

Its the soft schools pumping them up all the time, thinking they are giving them confidence, problem is they get over confident. So less pumping required and honest expectation started.

Sounds a bit like me when young :) :)

The fittings below are for a mixer bar attached to a self contained shower. i.e not a wall. The attaching screws have snapped. I could get two new brackets, dismantle that existing one and start again or I could try and re attach via those screws, removing the broken ones from the plate and wall...
