We have a sulphur smell coming from the kitchen and bathroom when running the water.

We have been told it is likely gunge in the boiler which is an ancient Potterton Kingfisher 2. Is this likely and can it be cleaned out or cured or is it a new boiler job.

We had our radiators flushed earlier this year.

Could it be any other issue?

Thanks.

If hot water is really is contaminated by you heating system it's not boiler but your hot water cylinder
Any discolouration in water?
Probably time to have a look in tank that feeds hot make sure it's clean.

Primatic cylinder by any chance? May have just lost its air bubble and need careful drain and refill to reinstate normal service.

If standard indirect cylinder, then contamination by boiler water indicates internal leak in cylinder.

The water in your ancient Kingfisher 2 (also the name of an old, rather good, answerphone) will never come into contact with your drinking water unless there is a problem with the cylinder. The age or condition of the Kingfisher is therefore irrelevant.
