Hi,

I have a stripped gland nut with a slow leak on a 1930's semi stopcock, where the main cold water feed is from a lead pipe.

I am wondering whether I could remove and replace from the flange nut (*hopefully correct term), although am not sure of the size I will need. - Photos have been attached.

Not looking to replace the lead piping any time soon due to the cost!

Can anyone help please?

wire brush it and get a decent set of grips you should be able to undo it and re pack the gland and re tighten wont look pritty but will hold
 
If you are wanting to replace the stopcock then there are specialist fittings from lead to copper, leadloc being one of them (iirc 7lb for most?)
