Hi all, Just replaced my thermostatic shower, Having turned the stopcock off when I have turned it back on it is leaking out of the top. Outside there is another in the ground but it is full of water and I am having trouble to turn this one off with a long key, any help appreciated. Thanks.

Any chance of a pick of the leaking one please?

The top little nut just under the handle ?

You should be able just to nip it up a bit (eg tightening)

Quite common for it to leak if it hasn't been used in a while

It will Probably leak again next time you turn it off. So just nip it back up or re pack the gland.

If stopcock is old and worn, undo gland nut (stopcock can be on or off) and wrap 4-6 turns PTFE or Loctite 55 around stem clockwise, and tighten gland nut back up.
