Guys I need some advice please.I am not a plumber but here goes.
There is a seriously bad stench come from my bathroom when I have a shower or drain the bath.I have stripped all the internal plumbing to check it was clear and it is as clean as a whistle.I also plunged the bath and sink and next to nothing came through. My bath is not slow to drain and the shower is over over the bath. What could be the cause.

1. Possibly the rush of water down the drain is syphoning the trap on the basin or bidet. This will allow sewer smells to come up the drain pipe and out of the basin / bidet plug hole.
2. Try running some water in the basin / bidet bowl after the bath / shower has finished draining. If this stops the smell, 1. above is correct.
3. You can get ant-vacuum traps to fit to the basin / bidet should the above prove to be the issue.

If this is the case what is the resolve

I have a plumber coming tomorrow to change a cartridge on a badly dripping tap on my bathroom mixer unit. There is no separate isolating valve for this tap so I'll have to close the stopcock. I tried closing it today but it won't go absolutely 100% closed and there is still a very slight flow...

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...
