Absolute nightmare with this stuff today in a customers house. Only come across it once before about 20 years ago on central heating but was able to use the old nut and olive to pipe a new rad. Today was a different story as I had to cut it which took forever with a hacksaw as my 22mm pipe slice wouldn't touch it (15mm PermaCrap was okay with a slice) then I couldn't get a brass olive to tighten on it. Tried copper olives instead which seemed to bite and seem to hold under low pressure but does anyone know the deal with this stuff as the whole house is rigged with it.

The house was built late 80's I think.

3/4 olives are required but it’s horrible stuff
