Removing Security Tag

Today I bought a pair of trousers from Zara in Reading, but now that I’m home I’ve realised that they have forgotten to take off the security tag. The alarm sounded when I left the store, however the shop staff were not bothered and I thought nothing of it. The store is 50 miles away is the a way to remove it without me having to take it back?

I don’t have a blow torch, burning it off could set them on fire though and it sounds too riskey

Not if you use a glass hammer.

No, it's fabric, cover it with a cloth and hit the tag. It should just shatter and allow you to pull it apart. I am wondering if this is a serious post though as all you have done is question everyone's responses.

I mention a receipt and hey presto. It is all ok and has been removed.
