Hi all,
Hoping you can help? The spindle has snapped on our diverter valve so presumably it needs to be changed. I’m struggling to get the old one out though...is it just brute force turning it anti-clockwise?
Driving me crazy?
Thanks

Yes I’m afraid it is.
If you have a socket set that might be easier, make the handle longer to get more leverage.
Or best is probably a nicely fitting ring spanner, don’t be afraid to hit down on the spanner with a hammer if necessary, or if you have another bar/box spanner you can use to make it a long handle you’ll be able to undo it with your pinkie!

I’ve got the fitting off, my problem, and yours too Aideen is the crank has snapped, where to get a new one , 3 plumbing shops in Geelong yesterday and no luck!

The fittings below are for a mixer bar attached to a self contained shower. i.e not a wall. The attaching screws have snapped. I could get two new brackets, dismantle that existing one and start again or I could try and re attach via those screws, removing the broken ones from the plate and wall...
