Hi,
I have a question about an interference type sound that is coming from the cylinder thermostat which I hope someone might be able to help.
Attached to a Range Tribune HW cylinder is a Range TS95H30 (pocket fit) thermostat. About 15 seconds before the HW cylinder reaches the target temp of 60DegC, a loud interference type sound (a bit like static from an analogue TV signal) can be heard coming from the thermostat. As the noise stops the relay can be heard to click and everything shuts down as normal.
However this 'static' type noise is causing my broadband connection to drop off and it's occurring several times each day. It's been like this for a while now and the frequency is increasing.
My question is, should the thermostat be making such a noise just before it switches?
For info, if the HW is running and I turn the thermostat down so that it triggers, there is no static noise just the straight forward 'click' and then shutdown.
Thanks for any help on this.
