Pipework type / design for Unvented Cylinder ( 170 L Megaflo Eco )

Hi I'm tying / hoping to run a drain for an Unvented indirect cylinder

I need to run it now as I want to close in the building ( its in a loft conversion )

I'm having great difficulty getting someone to fit the whole system

for me , it was being done by a guy but now he can not do it as hes moved away

I'm trying obtain new quotes ( everyone's busy )

Ive been told this so far

run it in 40 mm pipe and bring it up where the cylinder is

found a sketch online is this what I need / current regs ?

also is it polypropylene pipe

The run is 3.5 Mtrs straight then drops down through soffit elbows left ( swept bend ? ) into soil pipe 700 mm

don"t forget your measurements for your discharge pipe b4 and after tundish . to comply with regs.

I have had a guy round to quote but was a little bit bolshy and said just put a 40 mm pipe into the where the cylinder is and wouldn't elaborate , I thought there would be a little more

about the discharge pipe if I put a diagram would you have a peak ? as Im not sure I understand your reply

Hi Shaun I've not done a diagram yet but have been doing a lot of reading ( dangerous I know ) but this is what I've gathered from yourself and others does this sound ok

The discharge pipe D2 from the self sealing waterless valve ( as shown in the diagram above )
then a swept 90 bend
a 3.3 Mtr run clipped at 450 center's
two 45 bends to achieve a drop down through the soffit to vertical
a 250 mm verticle drop
another 90 swept bend
then 600 mm into the stack

this would all be in 40 mm black or white pushfit fittings in propropylene pipe
then only thing ive found that this would not work as the pipe work goes outside and ive read
propropylene .,s not suitable oustside as its not UV resistant

other than that I've read it could be done in 22 mm copper copper but then I cant find a suitable boss connector adapter any ideas

Tbh it doesn’t harm it that much the uv rays there loads of push fit used externally as most of the diy places sell it

would need to be in 28mm copper due to distance

but in essence what I've described is ok regarding the description of the run im doing is ok in 40 mm pushfit ?

on the copper side of things the total run is 5 mtrs max ( probably less ) and thats not suitable for 22 mm ?

40mm is fine

Correct 28mm is required just as each elbow adds 1 m total for 22mm max is 9m so if you have 4 elbows your over

ah ok so if i go up too 28 mm copper could i use one of these to connect into the soil pipe

it could go into the outlet on the bossed access ive got already

hmm just thought it would need to be curved to fit contour of pipe
