Hi, Two days ago we noticed we had no hot water. We have a mega flow tank/cylinder in our airing cupboard. It appeared that the lack of hot water could not be solved by setting the motorized valve to 'manual' so as to open the valve to allow heated water 'in' having been heated from the boiler.Boiler works fine. So we turned on the immersion heater. Water heated ok. This morning on checking the source of a loud bang from the airing cupboard the cause was that the cold water 'in' pipe had blown off the relevant connection at the base of the mega flow tank.Hardly any water spilled out.stopcock in cupboard now turn to 'off'. The mega flow tank was installed by the house builder 2004. Have any of you out there come across this type of issue with mega flow tanks before?

Been serviced no doubt?? Never prop open a valve with an unvented. They fail to closed

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
