Had half a day so took my elderly ma to her lunchclub where it was quiz time. No cheating (i.e google etc) you're only cheating yourself and we wont believe your score anyway.

1. Which Ian Flemming novel did James Bond first appear

2. In which industry was Lord Nuffield a pioneer?

3. In which kind of building is there a transept?

4. In which language was the New Testament originally written?

5. In what London building is the whispering gallery?

6. What London Park is the Birdcage walk?

7. What month does the grouse shooting season start?

8. What month is Halloween?

9. What musical does the song somewhere appear?

10. In which part of the body is the cornea located?

Winner gets a packet of olives...

No. 5 definitely St Pauls. It's a popular question in the fortnightly quiz at the cricket club.

Answers.

1. Casino Royale...doubt anybody is old enough to remember David Niven 'cept Shaun.

2. Motor Industry...difficult one I thought, he set up Morris Motors Ltd.

3. Church...say your prayers Millsy & Harvest.

4. Ancient Greek...no, Raiders of the Lost Ark is not part of the OU syllabus.

5. St Pauls...well done Royalists.

6. St James Park...so you work for Pimlico?

7. August...you'd think all game was shot in Autumn/Winter.

8. October...stop nicking the sweets tubby.

9. Guys and Dolls...remember this quiz was for OAP's so you really shouldn't have known this.

10. Eye...better book a test sharpish.

Joint winners...Darren & Dave, well done Sirs. If I find another quiz sheet from the old dear's lunch club I'll post it up. Good night, Goodnight...now what Bond film was that from and who played agent Mary Goodnight?
