My toilet seat has seen better days and I was going to replace it. Of course, nothing is that simple. It is not the standard type with the two bolts that go directly through the ceramics. The seat and cover are held on to a plastic strip by two screws (Pic1) and then the strip (pic2) is screwed onto the toilet rather than the thicker bolts. Can anyone tell me what type of seat this is. Secondly, where can I get a replacement? There are no makers marks on the toilet. Pic3 & 4 are simply close ups of strip.

Thanks (in advance)

If you undo them two screws you will be able to remove the whole lot and just buy a new toilet seat for top fixing

There are now thousands of different shapes of pans and matching seats.
Fortunately there are several specialist seat suppliers, heres one, but with no name you'll have to trawl through a lot.
Check the pan or inside the cistern for a name, that's what determines the shape.
There are usually measurements shown for the replacements.

As Shaun has said, it's a standard fixing on the pan

Hi
I think I've got the same toilet seat, except there's no visible screw on mine. Do you have any advice for me?
Thanks

From what I have read online, the ideal standard toilet seat does not have a release button, i am supposed to just pull the seat off to access the fixing to tighten screw to stop wobbling seat. Is that correct? When i pull it nothing happens
