Hi all,

Need some advice. I have a gravity fed boiler and about a month ago now have started getting noise in the pipes. It's not a banging but more of a trickling noise. If i turn the hot water and heating off then it disappears. When i turn it back on it starts immediately. The circulating pump in the airing cupboard sound quite noisy and wondered whether this was the problem. It's really annoying and have now resorted to switching off the hot water demand at the programmer before bed. What do you think?.

Have you tried bleeding the pump (the big screw slot in the centre)? if there is air inside it will sound like that.

Is your pipework adequately bracketed?

Thanks whpes, will try that. Pipework is clipped ok, nothing has fallen or sagged, it is more of a trickling than a banging. When bleeding the pump should i turn off the heating first?

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks
