Newbie to the forums

Hi all I'm new here so here is my introduction and first question. I'm in the process of renewing my bathroom and today have been changing the soil stack from cast to plastic in order to accommodate the new bathroom layout however once I had removed the cast down to ground level I noticed that the underground pipe had moved by around 6 inches and therefore over some years all of the foul had been seeping underneath the patio causing it to drop in places. I have so far dug down 2' to remove the sludge and reckon there is probably another foot to go. So my question is do you think that the damage caused to the patio i.e sinking and cracking would be covered by buildings insurance?
