Squeaky shower tray

Hi,

We recently had our shower tray replaced, however for some reason when I step on it it squeaks. I'll add a link to a video in which I am in the middle of the tray just shifting my weight from one leg to the other. Is this normal? Should I get back to the contractor with any specific questions or ask them to do something?

Link - Thank you!

No that is not right.
Get them back, need to eliminate that movement - or at the very least cut away what the tray is rubbing on and squeeze in a bit of silicone. Shouldn’t be a big drama to sort out.

I'm guessing the manufacturers instructions will say it should be supported over it entire base ?? I recently used this kit for a install of a stone resin quadrant shower tray

Hello everyone, I’ve spoken to the contractors and they came in to inspect. Basically said that because they used pre-mixed mortar base, it still hasn’t dried and when I go on the shower tray it pushes some mortar out. Because of that, what they are trying now is to put some weight in the middle of the shower tray (two big jugs of water) and leave it for 24 hours. Tomorrow they will come again to asses. Worst case scenario, I was assured if it still squeaks they will redo it.

Should be dry within 24 hours

Hi guys. I'm trying to identify a toilet model before ordering a seat for a customer. I went to what used to be a Roca stockist (they no longer are) and one of the guys there reckoned it might be "The Gap". I went to the new stockist and the guy there disagreed it was "The Gap" and that he'd...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
