Hi all

Doing a full roof to ground refurb on an old rural property and looking for oil boiler reccomendations. I've happened upon the Navien brand but am unfamiliar with them-Firebird and Grant are in the mix too....

Installation as proposed is a 28kW external system boiler feeding LLH to unvented cylinder, VT circuit and background partial UFH.

All experience and opinion welcome...

navien oil boiler is basically a Saturn oil boiler rebadged so theres history there to look up via Saturn.
The Navien rep was ready to take a load of us out for dinner and talk shop unfortunately the virus hit simultaneously. From what i can see they are made of quality components plus you have the unheard off ten year warranty.Fantastic!
Plus the rep here in N.Ireland is a knowledgeable gentleman and actually answers all calls which is rare for most reps in the heating industry.
Best of luck either way the other two boilers are extremely reliable.

Hello all, I should start off by stating that I'm not in the industry - I'm just a DIYer with a "what-if" idea. Hybrid systems and solar diverters are nothing new, but as far as I can see the current hybrid systems all require a change of boiler and I'm going to propose a system which could use...

Hi Is it normal to have very black UFH flow meters on a relatively new manifold (see image)? (Note the two clear flow meters on the LHS are for circuits which are not yet operational, so no water flow through them as yet.) Background is that I have an unvented system boiler CH system...

We are experiencing problems with our heating system which has become apparent after adding a single zone UFH to a large kitchen area. When the UFH kicks in, the flow to the CH Rads cools off. When the UFH is not on the Rads (13 in total) all get hot (quite slowly downstairs. UFH has own pump...
