Hi,

Have had a fault on our Ideal Icos HE15 boiler for a couple of weeks, keeps failing to light and shows LF (or FL) error. Boiler engineer came out today and checked boiler, no issues found. Then checked the gas supply, it seems when boiler demand came on the pressure at the meter dropped from high 20s to zero. It went up again a few seconds later. So fault phoned through to SGN as a possible fault with gas regulator on the meter.

SGN came around, said there was nothing wrong with it, but replaced reg anyway. Boiler still not working. The fan is coming on and its trying to light, but no joy.

SGN engineer suggests may be the gas valve in the boiler - so have engineer coming out again. But why would the pressure at the meter drop to zero? Its a new smart meter so can't be that right?

How do you know it’s going from 20 to zero ?

do you have a old steel gas supply to the meter, if so ask if some one can test to see if its got a lot of crud in it.
