Are these good or best avoided?
I need to give a builder a lead slate to put into the roof for a boiler install at a later date.
The mcalpine Mac flash universal slate is very cheap at the merchants.
Are they good or best to stick to the manufacturers own slate kit?

TBH I would always go for a manufacturer’s own reason why the flies designed for it eg like the baxi and Worcester ones the flue slots into it

I recently had a boiler grant. My Green star Junior was replaced with an Ideal C30. The installer did not install a spiral magnaclean etc until I asked how to empty it after the boiler was fully installed. He then installed it after saying it wasn't necessary. The grant included one. The pre...

So I bought my first flat recently (am in UK) and in a bit of a pickle as the bathroom has turned up lots of problems that weren't picked up by the survey. I have had loads of plumbers over, and have always carefully checked their reviews/tried to vet them as much as possible. However, I've had...
