Loctite 55

Hi all,

I've heard that loctite 55 plumbing thread is the business when it comes to getting a watertight seal - so much better than PTFE and so on. I wondered what people thought? I've not used it as I can't find it here (I live in France) however I might get some sent from the UK if it's good stuff. Any thoughts appreciated.

Rob, I use it and its superb, I have not used PTFE for years now.

same here, only use ptfe on olives when i have to disturb old joint.

Get the big rolls not the dental floss size ones. As said ptfe is soooo last decade.

Love loctite, been a user for 4 months now and never had a leak on it

Used to use it every day in the commercial world, agree it`s top stuff & no leaks, infact found most if not all of the Locitite stuff to be good.

Did anyone find that their free sample was a faulty one or was that just myn?
my one was missing the cutter, was a long time ago now.
As said like everyone else, i also use it all the time.
