Here's the thing peeps,

has anybody fitted or been fitting a device called a Sure Stop and if so.
What do you think of them ?

A: good idea
B: bad idea
C: just a new gimmick
D: possible gadjet for the future

Any other comments about this topic welcome.

Cheers

there crap fitted a few[asked by customers to do so] all went faulty, would not bother mate

i fitted about 200 for various social housing contracts and had 2 leak, 1 was faulty and 1 was pulled off the wall by a tiler having a tantrum, where we were redesigning the kitchen it means the customer can still shut off the main supply without having to lie down and try to reach in the back of a unit, you need to be careful that access is still available for the stopcock, but for us not the customers, just in case something happens, i have 6 22mm ones for sale, if anyone is interested £15 each plus postage:p

I like the idea, but will they still work 5 yrs later when theres water pi££ing through the cieling? although you would still install a conventional stop tap before it.
